The Answers You Need

HOW DO I BOOK A PICNIC?

Simple! Choose a picnic theme and add it to your cart.  Once your order has been received, I will reach out to discuss what date you would prefer to book for your special event.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE DATE I HAVE IN MIND IS AVAILABLE BEFORE PURCHASING?

Not a problem!  Reach out to me and we can work together to see if your date in mind is available before booking.

WHAT IF I DON'T CARE FOR ANY OF THE CURRENT PICNIC OPTIONS?

I'm all about variety!  I love nothing more than collaborating with people to create their vision!  Let's chat to find the perfect vibe for your celebration.

WHERE CAN I SET UP A PICNIC?

Just about any location that will allow it! Public parks, a backyard or possibly your own favorite location!  If you have a place in business in mind, let me know.  I am more than happy to check and see if their location is available.  If your location of choice charges a rental site fee, then you will be responsible for such fee directly.  

HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?

Currently serving in Tompkins County, but please feel free to reach to to discuss other possible locations in neighboring counties. Delivery charges may apply.

WHAT IF I’M NOT INTO PICNICS?

That’s totally okay! Kate Sarah Events offers a number of party rentals that may be perfect for your next shin-dig! Check out the inventory page to see what is currently offered. You never know what may be in stock as the options will be ever growing!

DO I HAVE TO CLEAN UP AFTER THE PICNIC?

Nope! We complete the set up and clean up the mess when you’re done!  

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

Full payment is required at the time of booking.  However, I understand life is unpredictable.  In the event that you need to cancel, please contact me 72 hrs ahead of your gathering.  I will help you reschedule or give you a credit. Refunds are not provided on customized orders.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD?

Food is not included in our standard picnics. Therefore we ask that you bring your own or you can check out one of the possible add ons here.  If you plan to bring outside food, please let me know ahead of time and bring the food a half hour earlier than the start time so that we can display your goodies on the proper serving platters during your gathering.

DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?

Alcohol is not provided. You are welcome to bring your own (location permitted).  If you choose to drink alcohol at your gathering, Kate Sarah Events is not responsible for the actions or potential consequences of you or your guests.  If you choose to bring your own alcohol, please drink responsibly.  Thank you for understanding!

WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON THE DAY OF MY OUTDOOR PICNIC?

If there is terrible rainy weather on the day of your picnic, don’t panic! We can reschedule free of charge within 2 months for any available booking date. If there is active inclement weather on the day of your picnic, you can reschedule three hours before your start time. If you are willing to chance it, a refund will not be issued once your start time has begun.  If contacted in enough time in advance, perhaps we may be able to change your location on the fly! 

WHAT IF I BREAK SOMETHING?

Accidents happen! Small spills like water or non-staining liquids will not incur a fee. However, if any surfaces are badly stained, you will be responsible for a cleaning fee. In the event of a broken or stolen item, a replacement fee will be imposed on the credit card used at the time of booking.  Fees imposed will be left up to our discretion.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?

We suggest placing your request 2 weeks in advance for your picnic gathering.  For special events and Holidays we recommend you book at least 1 month in advance.  We do accept bookings with less notice, however please note that your preferred day and time may not be available.
